La Caletta
La Caletta is a fraction of Siniscola, in eastern Sardinia, in the region historically known as Le Baronie. Until few decades ago, the aragonese tower of San Giovanni isolated dominated the landscape, protecting the costs from Saracen pirates.
Only since the 50s and 60s began to develop the village: around the harbor rise houses and hotels, sailing, diving and surfing schools. La Caletta is famous for its beach, a long stretch of white sand lapped by a sea green and transparent and secure, behind, by Monte Albo, so named for its bright color. The second Sunday of May is celebrated Our Lady of Fatima, the patron saint of the country, with a series of traditional events that last three days, from religious procession accompanied by the band, until the Fish Festival.
