Pula Sardinia
Pula is a town of 7,200 inhabitants in the
province of Cagliari, in the Sulcis-Iglesiente. Pula is a populous country to
the south-west of Cagliari, famous because its territory holds the ruins of the
great city of Nora, the first Phoenician city on the island. The center was born
today in the Middle Ages, but between the wars, plagues and invasions
barbaresco, resumed its growth in the eighteenth century, with a huge
development of the agricultural sector. Some decades ago the country began a
process of growth through tourism. The country still has a good old town. In
Corso Vittorio Emanuele is the patron Museum, archaeological museum which houses
artefacts from Nora. In the church of San Giovanni Battista (XIX century), in
piazza Giovanni XXIII, are of marble sarcophagi, one of which contains the
remains of a duchess Cagliari. Not far away is the Piazza del Popolo, a true

seems to protect the tranquility of these bays.

enchantment of Southern Sardinia
The coastal town of Villasimius is situated
in south-east of Sardinia and its territory extends in a sort of enchanting
peninsula that develops within 30 km of coast at the foot of the mountains of
Sarrabus. Arriving from Cagliari can be reached via a panoramic coastal road
along which you can see what are the characteristics of this charming coast of
Sardinia, the colors of the sea, white beaches, the coves at the foot of cliffs
rich in Mediterranean maquis. Villasimius appears suddenly, with the mountains
that open like a curtain to give a natural performance by the intense
fascination.

Thanks to the peculiarities of the territory
Villasimius offers a great variety of beaches that meet every taste and needs.
The most famous and closest to the center is the beach Simius then continues
with the special Cala Giunco, known as the beach of the Two Seas, with a strip
of white sand between the sea and the blue pond Notteri, a small mirror salt
water. Also: the beach of Campus, Campulongu, Porto Sa Ruxi, Rice Beach, Capo
Boi, Cala Caterina, Cava Usai.
CULTURE, HISTORY AND TRADITION:
Villasimius well as a resort is a lively town, with its traditions, its
habits.
The third weekend of July is celebrated the feast of Our Lady of the
sinking, with the procession of boats at sea up to the statue, which shows the
Virgin, which is located at the bottom of the cabbage dell'Isola to 10 meters
deep.
On 7 and 8 October there is the Feast of Santa Maria, an ancient
festival peasant flavor, with its processions in traditional costume and on
horseback and performances of traditional Sardinian dancing accompanied by the
sound of ancient launeddas cane.
