Castelsardo is a small Medieval town, surrounded by old walls and set on a rock overlooking the sea, in the middle of the Gulf of Asinara. The historical town centre is the most interesting part of the town, that was called Castelgenovese during the Doria’s rule and Castelaragonese during the Aragonese’s rule. The centre is rich in little streets, where there are a lot of shops and where it is possible to buy typical specialties. Castelsardo is famous for the beauty of its white beaches that overlook a crystal clear sea.
