September 1: Stintino beach Hairy
We arrived in Porto Torres from Genoa at 8 am and head by car to the Hotel Ancora Stintino, we had booked via the Internet (including ferries).
The hotel, surrounded by trees and greenery, is a complex of small buildings, two storeys, camouflaged in green, located between Stintino and Capo Falcone about 15-20 minutes walk from the famous beach of Hairy,
While we expect the allocation of the room a round of exploratory front of the hotel is a large garden lined with elegant tables and chairs, beside a children’s playground, then the arena where the evening entertainment takes place.
Let’s go to the beach, we see the swimming pool, sun loungers available, a bar, a marina, however we always go to the Hairy and the other beaches of the peninsula.

Meals are served in a large dining room, if you want you can choose to stay in the beer garden, serving dishes are placed on tables in force except for self-service pasta and meat are served in special cases, the menu changes with each meal and always includes great dishes typical of Sardinia, the choice is wide even in sweets and ice cream cakes, the food is excellent, the evening the choice is enriched with a wide choice of meat and fish chosen at the time, fired on plate.
The staff is very young and trained.

In the afternoon, after a short break (we were awake for more than 30 hours), we walk to the famous beach of Hairy (20 minutes) to get there via an easy and wide asphalt sidewalk, then we’ll find out from Stintino and finish at the Cape Falcone, the path is going up and down, very sunny, a dense vegetation on the sides of the Mediterranean.
The beach (very crowded), the most famous of Italy ‘, is quite large, both in length and width of fine white sand, the slope is very sweet, so it fits very young children (in fact, one sees many) , is almost entirely free beach, but there are also traditional bathrooms (thankfully few) with umbrellas and chairs.
The sea has great transparency and reflections, you see the bottom even with the deep water, always very calm while being protected from winds and the particular shape of this area, even when near the mistral blows through the natural protection provided by the Cape Falcon, Plain and dall’Asinara island, making this place in a pool.
At about 200 meters is the Pelosetta, sandy beach and rocks placed in front of the small island of the Tower and the Isle of Hairy Piana.
The view is magnificent.
September 2: Stintino
Hairy morning spent at the beach.
In the afternoon the bikes available for free use of hotel guests to go to Stintino.

Stintino is a small country, has an interesting museum (Museum of tuna), the core of the old city, has low houses, the most tourist is in front of the old port, there will come often at night to sit in the two restaurants on the bar Colombo sea front, the prices are very fair (€ 1.3 to the coffee table), are crowded in the evening, there is also a bit of music, take advantage tourist office to gather material.
September 3: Saline Beach
Hairy morning to the afternoon we decide to go to the beach of Saline, with the convenient bus service from Cape Falcon leads to the Country Village.
The service is very convenient and cheap (€ 0.70, fixed price for any destination)
The beach of Saline is about 2-3 km from Stintino (then about 6-7 km from the hotel), bus stop outside the hotel.
The path winds through the streets surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, small ponds, coves.
